Mary Walter of Massachusetts, became fascinated with quilts and quilting in art school, almost thirty years ago. Her style of quilting and participation with quilters has expanded to include becoming an NQA certified quilt judge, participation in many national exhibits and commissions, teaching, lecturing, and a founding member of the quilt artists group Women Who Run With Scissors, She is also a member of the New England Fiber Collective. She owned a successful quilt shop for many years, then went on to re-design and manage the shop at the New England Quilt Museum, later becoming Curator. Recently she began concentrating on her own textile design interests with a national fabric company, and on the production of her quilt patterns, soon for sale through her web site.
